Review: Vestax Pad-One

The Pad-One by Vestax is the new standard for compact midi pad controllers. With its durable aluminum construction it gives you the confidence to really beat on the pads while you lay down that new beat. The pads themselves really is what set the Pad-One apart from all of the rest of the compact controllers such as the Korg NanoPad or Akai Lpd8 the pads on the Pad-One have great feel and response giving you more confidence when your laying that complex new beat down. The 12 pads and the xy touch controller give it great versatility for such a small controller. The pads themselves light up in two different colors green, or red  depending on the function being used which is great for keeping track of exactly what the controller is doing while you are using it. With a cost around $200 it is a little higher than most of the other like sized controllers but for what it offers it is the obvious choice for a compact midi pad controller.
